Dr. Clarence (a.k.a The Love Doctor) and Brenda Shuler are parents to three adult daughters (he’s the minority in their sorority), author, organizational consultant, relationship counselor, speaker, and life & relationship coach.

He is the President/CEO of BLR: Building Lasting Relationships. For over 40 years, Clarence and Brenda have conducted marriage, discipleship, men’s, women’s, and single seminars internationally. In 2020, they received FamilyLife’s Speakers of the Year Award for the Weekend To Remember Marriage Getaway Speaker Team. Occasionally, Clarence speaks to college students and singles about friendships, dating, biblical sex, and pornography. They are certified in Marriage Education for Professional Training. As a Life & Relationship Coach, Clarence helps executives effectively manage their personal and professional lives, finding fulfillment in both. Dr. Gary Chapman and he speak together at Date Night and Life-Changing Cross-Cultural Friendship events. They co-authored, Choose Greatness: 11 Wise Decisions Brave Young Men Make and Life-Changing Cross-Cultural Friendships: How You Can Help Heal Racial Divides, One Relationship at a Time.

His newest book is Finding Hope in a Dark Place: Facing Loneliness, Depression and Anxiety with the Power of Grace. Clarence’s newest and most popular seminars for the marketplace and nonprofits are: Relational Intelligence with an Understanding of the Shadow, The “Myth” of Balancing Marriage/Family and Career, and Having Hard Conversations at Work Without Creating More Tension along with his Maximizing Difference (diversity) training are in constant demand. As the Manager over Bridges of Hope & Client Care for Life Network, a post-abortion ministry to men and women, she helps them to heal from the pain of their past. Brenda is a former teacher for a Colorado Springs citywide women’s Bible Study. She’s the Executive Administrator for BLR: Building Lasting Relationships.

Veterans of the pastorate, educational services, a variety of non-profit and corporate consulting; they have three adult daughters and reside in Colorado Springs, CO.
